There is no doubt that whites need to take the words and work of people of color seriously. This is something that whites are not likely to do because a person of color tells them to do so, but which they might, if encouraged to do so by another white person, especially one who models the way to explore those concepts for oneself.

Although a person of color in an authority position can discriminate against a white person, this kind of thing rarely happens because, a such persons are still statistically rare relative to whites in authority, b in virtually all cases, there are authorities above those people of color who are white, and who would not stand for such actions, and c even in cases where a person of color sits atop a power structure as with President Obamahe is not truly free to do anything to oppress or marginalize white people even were he so inclinedgiven his own need to attract white support in order to win election or pass any of his policy agenda.

According to Crosley-Corcoran, "the concept of intersectionality recognizes that people can be privileged in some ways and definitely not privileged in others". After all, getting people to join a movement for change that requires them — in order to be taken seriously — to live in perpetual financial insecurity is not likely to prove successful.

The intellectual climate at a private school is more academically oriented than public schools. Test anxiety is a psychological condition in which a person experiences distress before, during, or after a test or other assessment to such an extent that this anxiety causes poor performance or interferes with normal learning.

This has had the expected effects. Suppose that one in 10, kids get a horrible playground-related injury. Those who have the most to lose call on the others to come together under a social contract for the protection of all. This point can be understood in an almost Rawlsian sense, namely that if the citizens were ignorant of the groups to which they would belong, they would inevitably make decisions that would be to the advantage of the society as a whole, and thus be in accordance with the general will.

Private schools have the tendency to tarnish the image and reputations of good public schools. This seems to be at least part of the story in health care, given how much money you can save by grey-market practices that avoid the FDA.
